Imelda Tuñón Regains Custody of Son After Legal Battle

After a long legal battle between actress Maribel Guardia and her daughter-in-law Imelda Tuñón, the young singer finally managed to regain custody of her son José Julián. Maribel shared the news on her social media, expressing joy as Imelda saw her son after a month of being apart. The actress obtained temporary custody of José Julián after filing a complaint against the Attorney General's Office of Mexico City due to concerns about the child's welfare.

The reunion between Imelda and José Julián occurred early Saturday morning, as shared by entertainment journalist Addis Tuñón, the actress's aunt. Imelda regained her son after a hearing in which all parties involved discussed the minor's well-being. Authorities made their decision based on verified evidence in the case, including toxicological and psychological tests presented by Imelda.

The law ultimately granted custody of the child to Imelda, and authorities arrived at Maribel Guardia's house to ask for the minor's handover. Imelda expressed her happiness on social media after recovering her son, calling the day one of love and justice. Maribel Guardia has not commented on the situation so far.

Maribel Guardia had reported Imelda Tuñón in early January over concerns regarding José Julián's welfare, accusing her of substance abuse, neglecting the minor, and engaging in dangerous behaviors. Despite this, Maribel stated at a press conference that she advocated for Imelda to keep the minor as long as she was physically and mentally well.
